Some of the main duties associated with this permanent role include:

  • Make full use of available analytical techniques when characterising compounds
  • Conduct routine analytical testing working with other analytical chemists to provide accurate and precise test results
  • Undertake analyses using HPLC and troubleshoot/problem solve OOS results
  • Perform testing related to in-house stability studies on API and drug product samples
  • Maintain detailed records of work and provide a clear interpretation of own results both written and orally
  • Undertake calibration and scheduled maintenance of scientific equipment
  • Be willing to receive training in other analytical techniques and skills

We are looking for a chemist with a flair for analytical chemistry and LCMS skills. Other capabilities, such as HPLC method development and validation will be well regarded but are not essential.

A true team player, the ideal candidate will need to meet the following criteria:

  • A degree in Chemistry or a related field as a minimum
  • Three or more years of experience working with LCMS and interpreting MS spectra
  • Prior experience testing biological samples will be advantageous
  • Some method development and/or validation competency with HPLC, UHPLC &/or UPLC would be well regarded but not necessary

  • Knowledge and/or experience in working in a regulated setting (e.g., GLP, GMP, FDA, ICH or ISO 17025) would be advantageous
  • Collaboration and effective, solution-focused teaming with others to achieve desired company outcomes
  • Respectful and clear communication style that supports and encourages teamwork across the company and facilitates optimal business outcomes
  • Positive energy, “can do”/optimistic attitude, and determination in approaching the job
  • Excellent organisational skills are a prerequisite, which includes the ability to multi-task effectively and keep sufficiently detailed records of daily activities
  • You must have full rights to live and work in Australia
