THE ROLE

Our Melbourne office, located in beautiful St Kilda Road, has an opening for an experienced Sales or Business Development Professional with a scientific background. You will be seen as a Specialist in your own field and will be highly regarded for the quality of service you provide.

You will be working in a supportive environment with an experienced team of professionals and will utilise your network and knowledge of the Scientific Industry to further diversify ChemSkill’s client base.

You will be a motivated individual who loves a challenge and enjoys the success associated with providing winning recruitment solutions to clients and candidates. Competent and confident, you will be comfortable in liaising with a broad spectrum of professionals at all levels.

Working for a strong, trusted brand, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and generating revenue through new and existing business relationships. Working in the pharmaceutical, food, chemicals, cosmetics, manufacturing and government sectors to name a few, you will work with existing clients and develop new relationships. Your focus will be on Executive and Senior permanent placements as well as contract recruitment.

This role will appeal to an experienced BDM with a proven background that is able to demonstrate outstanding results from their past roles. You will be provided with all of the necessary tools for success with warm leads, marketing support and a friendly, motivated work environment.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be considered for this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in a science discipline together with a number of years of local sales and/or business development experience. Extra qualifications in sales or marketing will be highly regarded. Your excellent communication skills and professional presentation will be a key factor in your success. You will be well versed in the use of Microsoft Office applications and be proficient in the use of social media.

You will have demonstrated experience in client relationship and/or account management. You will possess superior negotiation and influencing skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong stakeholder management focus. Commercially astute and strategic in your approach, you will have a successful track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
