Our client specialises in handmade, raw, vegan, organic chocolate and desserts and specialty items sold through their own shops, satellite stores and catering. With products sold world-wide and continued growth, they now have an opportunity for an entry level Business Development Manager that shares similar values – Being fit and healthy and most importantly enjoying using and eating raw, vegan and organic chocolate and desserts!



This exciting entry level role is based in Sydney and involves travel within NSW and the ACT. You will work closely with the Senior BDM in Sydney and the leadership team in Melbourne to promote delicious, healthy chocolate and desserts to a variety of outlets.

To be successful, you will have experience in sales and/or managing accounts, excellent communication and presentation skills, enjoy liaising with people in the Food Industry and travelling. You will attend trade shows, travel to Melbourne for meetings and overnight stays in Canberra. The perfect job for an ambitious, energetic person who wants to progress their career with a company experiencing high growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Proactively looking for new business opportunities and being creative in ways to meet and maintain your KPI’s.
  • Using promotional activations, increasing stock turns and product positioning to drive existing business
  • Building strong relationships with existing and new clients and suppliers, by regular communication and arranging regular face to face visits.
  • Able to demonstrate a deep product knowledge, history and values of the company.
  • Attend and manage trade shows.
  • Arrange in-store tastings and presentations.
  • Communicate with sales team in Melbourne.
  • Resolve client complaints/ feedback end to end.



To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Have a passion for health and wellness.
  • Experience in a sales or account management role with a proven record of success in direct sales.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to build relationships, manage priorities and achieve sales results.
  • Be self motivated, achievement oriented and energetic.
  • Be a creative thinker, especially with regard to generating new business.
  • Be able to work autonomously while being committed to a team.
  • Able to work normal Monday to Friday hours and available for the occasional trade show which could be at night or the weekend. You will be given time off in lieu.
  • The role comes with a company car so you must have a current drivers licence and live in Sydney.
  • You must be passionate about our client’s business and products.
