As an experienced Scientist you are bound to have used the range of laboratory and field equipment that this global Company manufactures and sells. We have partnered with an innovator in the field of analytical equipment and instrumentation covering environmental, medical, food and beverage and resources. This world leader has a large network of subsidiaries in over 40 countries worldwide and is committed to expanding their Australian operations of 20 years. Due to this growth, they are seeking motivated and professional scientists to join their team in Melbourne.

ROLE

Their commitment to expanding their Australian operations, means there is a need for an additional Applications Support Specialist with specific experience in Titrators and other instrumentation. The successful candidate will provide problem solving, technical expertise and training to customers using all lines of our client’s product range, but specifically their titration customers.

This Application Support Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Developing a list of prospective titrator end-users in a territory through market research, business directories, networking and referrals
  • Approximately 30% of your time will be spent out of the office meeting with existing and prospective customers to demonstrate, train and support all Hanna products, with a focus on Titrators,
  • Using analytical skills to provide solutions to customer’s analytical testing requirements
  • Resolving requests from customers for technical service or support and prioritizing requests based on urgency
  • Maintaining a database of customer requests, tracking progress of service and repairs, contacting customers to keep them informed of their requests

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, chemistry or similar preferred
  • A minimum of two years experience in a technical service or application support role
  • Basic electrochemistry knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other computer applications. Experience in the use of CRM systems will be highly regarded
  • Experience with F2F customer relations with a strong focus in providing solutions
  • Team-oriented and driven to achieve goals
  • Self-starter with the ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and time management skills are a must
