ROLE

The role presents an exciting challenge for a technically and commercially astute sales and marketing professional with ownership of top-line sales performance and management of a diverse portfolio and customer base.
Due to an internal promotion, our client is looking for an ANZ Sales & Marketing Manager in Melbourne to coordinate a customer service team of 3 and manage one Sales Representative. This role will report to the Australian Sales Manager located in QLD.
Your clients will come from a broad range of industrial areas such as Paints & Coatings, Home & Personal Care, Material Protection, and Hygiene industries.
Your Skillset:
Technical background with a good understanding of surfactants, preservatives, disinfectants, surface coatings, and additives
Proven experience in account management roles with experience in marketing
Ability to successfully undertake new business development
Experience in providing technical advice and solutions to a wide range of clients
Experience in people management
Some duties associated with this role include:
Maintain relationships with existing key accounts of ANZ region, identify and drive further business development
Identify new clients and grow sales with current products and planned product launches
Plan and carry our specific customer and product activities to achieve budget growth targets and timelines
Maintain current knowledge of market developments and accurately assess the opportunities
Manage and drive the performance of distributor sales performance in the Oceania region and set yearly sales targets with periodical reviews
Participate in global and regional key account management, negotiating local terms including supply chains, terms, and conditions that are consistent with the company policies
Introduce and present new products and applications to key customers in the Oceania region.
Monitor, review and act on customer feedback, activities and performance including managing against the business plan (budget) and maintaining project pipeline
Work with the technical department on developing and optimizing product and
formulation to match or exceed expected product performance
Provide technical support and advice to customers
SELECTION CRITERIA
To be considered for this role, applicants will need to substantiate how they meet the following criteria:
Bachelor’s Science Degree, preferably Chemistry, Biochemistry or Microbiology
Five to ten years’ experience in a senior accounts management role in Personal Care, Industrial Hygiene or Coatings industry
A track record in the successful business development
Experience in people management and project management
Proven ability to work autonomously, be self-motivated and have progress reporting tools
A very high level of technical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with excellent written, oral skills and computer literacy
Ability to undertake travel – both interstate and internationally within ANZ region
You must hold a full driving license and have working rights in Australia
