ROLE

This newly created position is ideal for an entry level R&D Analytical Chemist who wishes to enhance their skills and progress their career in a cutting edge, analytical drug development environment.

Some of the main duties associated with this permanent role include:

  • Analysis and characterisation of API and drug product candidates using in-house or compendial methods
  • Assisting with the analysis and characterisation of agrochemical candidate formulations using in-house or compendial methods
  • Assisting with the management of in-house stability studies on API and drug product samples
  • Maintaining detailed records of work and providing clear interpretation of own results both written and verbally

 

REQUIREMENTS

A true team player, the ideal candidate will need to meet the following criteria:

  • A BSc or BSc (Hons) in Chemistry or similar
  • Prior experience in a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory or university analytical research laboratory will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of various analytical methodologies and instrumentation including HPLC, LCMS or preparative LC
  • Strong organisational skills including the ability to keep detailed records
  • A diligent, hardworking individual with a strong work ethic
  • Flexibility to deal with a change in priorities at short notice
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with others in the team and take direction as needed
  • Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and a strong ability to multi-task
