The successful candidate will be joining the Analytical team in Melbourne which supports the Australian, New Zealand and South East Asia businesses. You will perform analyses under supervision to enable the staff in research, development, production and sales to make informed decisions relating to problem solving and customer support.

Some of your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • The use of analytical instruments and techniques such as IR, HPLC, GPC, GC and optical microscopy to solve problems, involving product failure, production errors, claims avoidance and customer support.
  • Provide timely and accurate results by applying appropriate analytical methods and correctly interpreting and reporting results in a way the customer can understand.
  • Work according to the company’s laboratory safety, health and environment standards.



To start 2016 with a wonderful and rare career opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (up to Honours)
  • University experience using analytical instrumentation, wet chemistry and physical testing – no Industry experience required
  • Excellent report writing skills and computer literacy in English
  • Must have a good eye for detail and an appreciation for safety in the work place
  • Excellent communication skills – you will be liaising with personnel of all levels of the company
  • Good time management skills and the ability to multi task
  • MUST be a good team player and reliable!
  • Must have current work rights in Australia
  • As this is a contract role, preference will be given to candidates based in Melbourne
