CLIENT

Our client boasts state-of-the-art laboratories and specialises in the chemical, microbiological, and physical testing of food products. The work environment is friendly and supportive but always busy.

ROLE

Based in the Fremantle area, our client requires an Account Manager with qualifications in Chemistry or Food Science/Technology.

The Account Manager role presents a great opportunity for a scientist with experience in sales who is ready to take that next step.

Reporting to the Divisional Manager, who is based in Melbourne, you will be able to work autonomously but with the support of many professionals. You will be responsible for selling innovative testing solutions focused on major accounts within WA and VIC when relevant.

You will be expected to grow the business and further maximize opportunities with existing clients. You will source new opportunities by conducting market research, forming relationships, and marketing the company’s services. You shall be responsible for achieving annual budgets.

Typical customers include food and wine manufacturers.

REQUIREMENTS

The requirements for the role are:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Food Science/Technology or similar;
  • Experience conducting analytical testing with the emphasis on food testing;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ B2B sales experience in a scientific field;
  • As you will be visiting clients, you must have a driver’s licence;
  • Ability to use CRM systems, understand budgets and good reporting skills;
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong time management skills;
  • Able to work independently, as well as being a good team player;
  • Reliable with an excellent work ethic; and
  • Flexible to meet the requirements of the business.
