Based in Melbourne, our client is a full service TGA licenced manufacturer of topical products and cosmetics. They offer a full, end-to-end service, transforming client concepts into commercially successful products. Their core expertise includes sun care, personal care, skin care, cosmetics and topical therapeutic products. Their state of the art purpose built facility, provides customers with a complete contract manufacturing solution including R&D, Product Development, Regulatory Support, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Warehousing as well as local and international distribution.



Due to growth and the ever increasing demand for their products, our client is seeking to employ an Account Manager to maintain, service and develop existing relationships with their customer base. This position reports directly to the Business Development Manager and is integral in ensuring all service aspects are coordinated so the delivery of goods are on time and according to budget.

The successful candidate will be based at the Company’s Head Office in Melbourne and will be managing clients, mostly in other states within Australia.



  • Act as an advocate in the customers’ interests to facilitate their dealings with the company
  • Maintain and develop existing relationships with customer base
  • Co-ordinate all service aspects to ensure delivery of goods on time and to budget
  • Drive sales growth within existing contract customer base
  • Develop strong working relationships with customers by providing exceptional service, communication and regular face to face contact
  • Facilitate accurate and timely communication with all internal and external customers
  • Receive, process and manage all customer purchase orders
  • Communicate lead times and delivery dates
  • Maintain purchase orders and forecasts within ERP system
  • Coordinate deletion of finished goods, packaging and exclusive raw materials to minimize redundant stock
  • Identify opportunities for margin improvement with existing customer base
  • Identify opportunities for new business within existing customer base



The successful candidate will strong experience in key account management. Areas of interest include skin and hair care. You will be tertiary qualified to degree level holding a Bachelor’s degree in science and/or business/marketing, with a proven history in account management positions, preferably in an FMCG environment at a national level with strong selling, negotiation and planning skills.

You must have leadership qualities, be customer focused, a decision maker and able to complete tasks and projects on time.

To be successful in your application, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Science
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar sales role developing and servicing clients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as a team member or the Senior Management Team or individually under general direction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with a proven ability to meet goals, targets and deadlines
  • Professional phone manner
  • Confident presenter in person
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • The ability to nurture relationships internally and externally
