ROLE

The Account Manager – Biological Sciences, is a fantastic new role and presents a great opportunity for a Scientist with experience in sales who is ready to take that next step.

Reporting to the Country Manager who is based in Melbourne, you will be able to work autonomously but with the support of many professionals. You will be responsible for selling innovative solutions focused on rapid microbiological products to major accounts in NSW and ACT

You will be expected to grow the business and further maximize opportunities with existing clients. You will source new opportunities by conducting market research, forming relationships and marketing your products. You will be responsible for achieving annual budgets. Typical customers include hospitals, pharma, biopharma, personal care etc.

This is an exciting career progression opportunity that will see you grow as an Account Manager of two states.  Your rewards include a good salary, car allowance, bonuses and some overseas travel to the USA and Korea.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be successful in your application, you will need to meet the following selection criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering with preference in Biological Sciences, Microbiology
  • Minimum of 3 years B2B sales experience in a scientific field
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical or medical industry – B2B sales
  • You must be able to work from home so the ability to work autonomously is very important
  • You must be a trustworthy person, honest and hard working with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • As you will be visiting clients, you must have a drivers licence and a reliable car. You will be given a car allowance and car maintenance
  • Ability to use CRM systems, understand budgets and good reporting skills
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills
